Tyler’s main focus at Gutwein Law is Intellectual Property. While he concentrates in the areas of patents and trademarks, he also has experience in copyright and trade secrets. In his practice, Tyler aims to get to know his clients and their business needs so that he is able to provide value added legal guidance. He aims to educate his clients, arming them with confidence to make the important decisions in their legal matters. Coming from a background in biotechnology, Tyler possesses a high attention to detail that is critical when navigating intellectual property matters.

Prior to receiving his JD from Indiana University, Tyler earned both his Bachelors and Masters in Biotechnology from Indiana University-Bloomington. During his time at Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Tyler was able to gain valuable experience through externships with Eli Lilly, Firestone Building Products, Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation and Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. Tyler has been admitted to practice in Indiana, including its Northern and Southern Districts. Outside of work, he enjoys playing a variety of sports, attending live music and sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
