City of Lafayette CDBG Emergency Small Business Assistance Program
Updated April 24, 2020
The City of Lafayette is offering forgivable loans up to $10,000 for locally owned businesses in Lafayette affected by COVID-19 that:
- have not received other emergency or government funding,
- have 25 or less full-time equivalent employees (including owners), and
- meet certain other criteria.
The City has allocated $400,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds (CDBG) for these loans. The loan may be used for rent or mortgage expenses, payroll, or utilities. Businesses can start applying now, and the application deadline is May 11 (unless the fund is depleted earlier).
